Liberty Older Adults
Our ministry exists to gladly spend our lives to see the Gospel transform the next generation. We do this by encouraging older adults (60+) to invest in the lives of those coming after them.
Older adults have many opportunities to serve, including ongoing and seasonal ministry activities like age-graded Life Groups, Vacation Bible School, weekend retreats, and various events throughout the year.
We also seek to inspire and challenge our older adults through regular gatherings, such as our Older Adult Worship Gatherings at Liberty, as well as state-sponsored rallies and conferences.
Together, we are making an eternal impact by faithfully passing on the love of Christ to the next generation.
OASIS (Older Adults Still In Sight)
The goal of OASIS is to make sure that Older Adults who may be unable to leave home or move around easily feel included in our church family. When physical conditions limit some of their mobility, we want to be there. We want to make them continue to feel as if they are still a vital part of our church family.
To acheive the goal of this ministry, we use personal in-home visits, phone calls and written communication to build relationships and let them know they are still much loved and appreciated members of our church family. This is a hands-on, heartfelt ministry that carries great reward. If you want to bless someone, sit down and have a conversation with a dear 80-year old saint.
If you would like more information, please fill out a connect card and put them in the black collection bowls around the church. You can also call the church office at 205.678.9928 and we will contact you with greater detail.
