Immeasurably More
IMMEASURABLY MORE
Capital Campaign
In the Fall of 2023, the Lord impressed upon my heart the theme: Praying & Trusting God For The “Immeasurably More” 2024. I made the following statement based upon our vision to experience “greater Gospel impact by multiplying our ministry through expansion opportunities given by God” by 2031:
“We will pray, work, and trust God for greater Gospel transformation in 2024 that begins with surrender and results in greater discipline, right priorities, and a ‘whatever it takes’ willingness to live out the Gospel mission.”
Little did I know that God’s plan for that immeasurably more in 2024 would involve a church “replant partnership” with Southside Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL. But it did! In May of this year, both the Liberty and Southside congregations voted to enter into a “replant partnership,” effective June 1, 2024. And here we are today!
It’s really exciting to be part of a Gospel movement in Shelby County where the majority of our residents are unchurched and most likely lost! It’s exciting to experience our Liberty family become a “sending” church! It’s exciting to see the new life being breathed into a dying congregation! It’s exciting to experience God working in and through us in greater ways! God is good!
Bold moves are always part of experiencing God’s immeasurably more. Two congregations made bold moves to enter into a replant partnership. Liberty made a bold move to commission 33 core team members, including a campus pastor. Now we have the opportunity to respond in a bold move through a capital campaign for greater Gospel impact. The campaign goal is 1.8 million over 24 months.
The only way we will experience God’s immeasurably more through this opportunity is “according to His power at work within us” (Eph. 3:20b). But when God is at work, the immeasurably more abounds.
- Will you pray and seek how you can make a bold move financially for God’s glory?
- Will you join others in above-and-beyond giving to fuel this Great Commission partnership?
- Will you join the movement for greater Gospel impact in Shelby County?
All for Christ,
Pastor Tim Cox
