The Great Commission is "The Mission" Acts 1:8 is the strategy of the Church "on mission" Missions is a process and lifestyle of every believer. This process involves four life-transforming truths…Loving God, Loving Others, Serving God, and Serving Others. These are fundamental, life-transforming truths that we cannot miss as Disciples of Christ. As a Missions Ministry, our passion is to be a church family of world-impacting disciples who are partnering with others around the world to fulfill the Great Commission with an Acts 1:8 focus. Let’s all live for the sake of God’s glory among all nations. We were all created to impact the world for the glory of Christ. Please feel free to contact us and see how you can join us in “The Mission”! We have the great privilege to partner and “Serve Others” with a ministry called MEDmission. On the first Saturday of each month from 9-12noon, Liberty members meet at the MEDmission warehouse (120 W. Oxmoor Rd. Homewood) to organize and pack medical supplies that will be shipped to missionaries around the world. Objectives & Strategies • With an Acts 1:8 emphasis, lead the church in fulfilling the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel in our community, state, nation, and throughout the world. • Recognize and plan mission trips to give Liberty members the opportunities to serve on the mission field. Missionary Residence Project The Men's Ministry of LBC is currently involved in preparing the church-owned home to be used by missionaries on furlough. Cleaning and repairs are ongoing and thanks to all who continue to work on this project. Watch for future work dates. We’re beginning to move into a new phase—that is turning this house into a home for our missionaries on furlough. To make this happen, we have need of many household items. Donations are greatly appreciated. Download the household items list HERE. Also, download a list of furniture needed HERE. LBC is also registered at Walmart to make it more convenient for those who would like to purchase any of the needed items. |
